This hammock or as the indigenous people of La Guajira call it, Chinchorro Wayuu Patuash classic blue XXL, has been woven with the Süi Patuwash or double-faced technique.
This is one of the finest, exclusive, unique hammocks woven with one of the most complex techniques in the world.
It can take the artisans between 4 and 6 month of very specialized handwork to finish one of these beautiful hammocks, depending on the techniques applied.
The "chinchorros," made by the indigenous Wayuu of the dessert of La Guajira are therefor considered as the real jewels of the crown in the hammock world. Los chinchorros of the Wayuu are our most expensive hammocks but considering the labour, the amount of material used (6kg) the high quality and the absolute exclusivity of every chinchorro explains it all: a collector’s item that will last (more than) a lifetime!
